Ask the lender, not only the salesperson
Clarify whether the rate is fixed or floating, the effective annual cost, processing and insurance charges, late-payment consequences and any required contribution. Obtain the repayment schedule from the lender. SolarKhoj does not quote a live loan offer or calculate an EMI here.
Separate three cash flows
The installer needs payment under the contract, the lender expects repayment under the loan, and the scheme disburses support only through its eligible process. These dates may differ. Central guidelines allow CFA to be credited to the relevant loan account in loan-funded cases; confirm how your lender applies it. In Uttar Pradesh, the state top-up is processed after the central CFA.
Plan for delays and changes
Ask what happens if the installation is delayed, eligibility changes, the system scope changes or you want to prepay after a grant arrives. Written lender and installer terms govern these questions. Do not use a salesperson's savings projection as your only repayment plan; compare the amount you borrow with the indicative cost range for that size.
Keep each agreement separate
