An eligible home in Uttar Pradesh can receive central PM Surya Ghar CFA of up to ₹78,000 and, separately, UP state support of ₹15,000 per kW up to ₹30,000. For a 3 kW system the two scheme limits add up to ₹1,08,000. The state amount is paid after the central CFA is released. These are scheme limits checked against official sources, not an approved grant for your connection.

Cap, not approvalBoth amounts need eligibility and the official process. Neither is a discount on your quotation.
Central CFA pays ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW and ₹18,000 for the next 1 kW, so it stops rising at 3 kW. UPNEDA material adds ₹15,000 per kW for eligible residential consumers, capped at ₹30,000, which is reached at 2 kW.
| System | Central CFA | UP additional | Potential total |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 kW | ₹30,000 | ₹15,000 | ₹45,000 |
| 2 kW | ₹60,000 | ₹30,000 | ₹90,000 |
| 3 kW | ₹78,000 | ₹30,000 | ₹1,08,000 |
| 5 kW | ₹78,000 | ₹30,000 | ₹1,08,000 |
Choose capacity from your electricity use and roof, not from the subsidy table: above 3 kW neither amount increases.
UPNEDA's published process puts the state payment after the central one: the central CFA is disbursed first, and the state amount is processed after the MNRE/REC release list is received. No fixed payment date is published, so plan to fund the full installed price yourself or through a loan until both amounts arrive.
Through the National Portal after commissioning and account checks.

The top-up is processed for eligible consumers.

UPPCL's distribution companies are PVVNL, MVVNL, DVVNL, PuVVNL and KESCO; MVVNL publishes its 19-district supply area. Your bill names your DISCOM.

Match the company name, district and payment recipient on your quotation to the listing. A listing is one check: it does not guarantee price, workmanship or after-sales service, and SolarKhoj does not approve or rank vendors.

Check the distribution company printed on your electricity bill and use that when you register; a PIN code alone does not identify the DISCOM or prove eligibility.
If both schemes apply, up to ₹78,000 central CFA plus up to ₹30,000 from the state, a potential total of ₹1,08,000. Eligibility, DCR equipment and DISCOM commissioning are required for each. The size comparison puts these limits next to the cost of each size.
The one printed on your electricity bill. UPPCL's state distribution companies are PVVNL (Meerut zone, western UP), MVVNL (Lucknow zone), DVVNL (Agra zone), PuVVNL (eastern UP, including Varanasi and Prayagraj) and KESCO (Kanpur city). Choose exactly that DISCOM and your consumer number on the National Portal.
The documented starting point is the PM Surya Ghar National Portal, where you choose Uttar Pradesh and your DISCOM. UPNEDA also runs a rooftop solar portal for the state process, and guidance published by installers disagrees about whether a separate step is needed. Check the UPNEDA portal or ask UPNEDA before assuming either way, and keep the application ID from each portal you use.
Yes. UPNEDA material describes the state support as additional to central CFA for eligible residential consumers. It has its own conditions and is paid after the central amount.
No. Central CFA is capped at ₹78,000 from 3 kW and the UP amount at ₹30,000 from 2 kW. A larger system may suit higher use, but the support stays the same.
Not automatically. The installation contract, any loan and the scheme payments are separate. Ask in writing who funds the full price and what happens if a payment is delayed or an application is rejected; the quotation guide shows how to keep them apart.
Common facilities of a society or RWA have a separate central CFA rate of ₹18,000 per kW within set limits. The UP top-up described here is for eligible residential consumers; ask UPNEDA whether it applies to a society connection.
Dates show when each source was reviewed, not a promise that the rules will stay the same. Check the live portal before you apply.
